I hope to always teach my child about healthy boundaries. That includes not "having" to hug Auntie Margie and also not having to answer the neighbour's question about whether or not she wants to go back to school next year.

Now I have a powerful government representative who wants me to send examples of her work to him even though it violates the boundary of our clearly defined relationship with him under the law. He wants her to read to him online even though it's not his place to do so. Does he have harmful intent? Probably not but neither does Auntie Margie's hug. That is not the point.

Is this different from the other boundaries I have taught my child to uphold? I don't think so. I respect the law -does the Ministry of Education in Quebec?
